Beispiele für Doppelsummen

Wählen wir eine schwierige Doppelsumme und lösen diese:

$$ \sum \limits_{\textcolor{blue}{i=2}}^{ \textcolor{blue}{4} } \sum \limits_{ \textcolor{red}{j=1} }^{ \textcolor{red}{4} }{ (i-1) · 3^j } $$

Um es uns einfacher zu machen, schreiben wir die Funktion (also die Berechnungsvorschrift für die Summanden) 4 mal (j = 1, 2, 3, 4) nebeneinander und 3 mal (i = 2, 3, 4) untereinander:

$$ (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j \\ (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j \\ (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j + (i-1) · 3^j $$

Dann können wir die Werte für i einsetzen, je Zeile: i=2, i=3, i=4:

$$ (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^j \\ (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^j \\ (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^j + (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^j $$

Als nächstes setzen wir die Werte für die Laufvariable j ein mit j=1, j=2, j=3, j=4:

$$ (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{1} + (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{2} + (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{3} + (\textcolor{blue}{2}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{4} \\ (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{1} + (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{2} + (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{3} + (\textcolor{blue}{3}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{4} \\ (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{1} + (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{2} + (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{3} + (\textcolor{blue}{4}-1) · 3^\textcolor{red}{4} $$

Das müssen wir noch ausrechnen und kommen auf:

$$ (1) · 3 + (1) · 9 + (1) · 27 + (1) · 81 \\ (2) · 3 + (2) · 9 + (2) · 27 + (2) · 81 \\ (3) · 3 + (3) · 9 + (3) · 27 + (3) · 81 = 720 $$
