Funktionstypen

Funktionen können in folgende Gruppen untergliedert werden:

  1. Polynomfunktionen (Ganzrationale Funktionen): Konstante, lineare, quadratische, kubische Funktionen, Potenzfunktionen
  2. Gebrochenrationale Funktionen
  3. Nichtrationale Funktionen: Wurzel-, Exponential-, Logarithmusfunktionen, trigonometrische Funktionen
  4. Spezielle Funktionen: Betragsfunktion, Vorzeichenfunktion, Gaußsche Glockenkurve
  5. Zusammengesetzte Funktionen: beliebig

Zu jeder Gruppe gehören verschiedene Typen von Funktionen.

Polynomfunktionen (Ganzrationale Funktionen)

Diese Funktionen ergeben sich aus Polynomen. Sie werden daher auch „Polynomfunktionen“ genannt.

Bekannte Polynomfunktionen sind:

Konstante Funktionen

Allgemein: f(x) = a

Beispiel: f(x) = 2

Allgemein: f(x) = a·x + b

Beispiel: f(x) = 3·x + 2

Quadratische Funktionen

Allgemein: f(x) = a·x² + b·x + c

Beispiel: f(x) = 5·x² + 3·x - 9

Kubische Funktionen

Allgemein: f(x) = a·x³ + b·x² + c·x + d

Beispiel: f(x) = 1,5·x³ + 2·x² - 0,5·x - 5

Potenzfunktionen

Allgemein: f(x) = a·xn
(Der Exponent n muss eine natürliche Zahl sein.)

Beispiel: f(x) = 3·x⁵

Gebrochenrationale Funktionen

Diese Typen von Funktionen erkennen wir daran, dass sich eine Polynomfunktion im Zähler und eine Polynomfunktion im Nenner befindet. Also zum Beispiel: \( f(x) = \frac{ x }{ x^3 + 2 } \) oder aber auch \( f(x) = \frac{1}{x} \) gilt als Polynomfunktion.

Beispiel: \( f(x) = \frac{x^2+1}{x^5 - 3·x} \) oder \( f(x) = \frac{(x+1)}{ (x-1)·(x+3) } \)

Hyperbelfunktionen

Allgemein: \( f(x) = a·x^{-n} \) bzw. \( f(x) = a·\frac{1}{x^n} \)
(Der Exponent n muss eine natürliche Zahl sein.)

Beispiel: \( f(x) = 2·x^{-3} \)

Wurzelfunktionen

Allgemein: \( f(x) = \sqrt[n]{x} \) bzw. \( f(x) = x^{\frac{n}{x}} \)
(Der Wurzelexponent n muss eine natürliche Zahl sein.)

Allgemein: f(x) = ax
(Die Basis a muss stets positiv sein.)

(Die Basis a muss stets positiv und größer als 1 sein.)

Trigonometrische Funktionen (Winkelfunktionen)

Zu den trigonometrischen Funktionen gehören mehrere Funktionstypen, die wir im Folgenden kurz vorstellen.

Sinusfunktion

Allgemein: f(x) = a · sin(b·x + c) + d

Beispiel: f(x) = \sin(3·x + 1) + 1

Allgemein: f(x) = a · \cos(b·x + c) + d

Allgemein: f(x) = a · csc(b·x + c) + d

Beispiel: f(x) = 3 · csc(2·x + 1) + 1
